Kids Yoga Class with Kristen Levine - December 18th -4pm - Ages 8-12
This workshop series will be held in a non competitive environment for all students, first timers to yoga too. There will be an opportunity to share personal high and low experiences from the day, identify their feelings while incorporating themes of kindness to themselves and others. Upbeat music will be woven into the class - Taylor Swift, Olivio Rodrigo, Bruno Mars, Imagine Dragons etc.(clean versions). As 3rd - 6th graders are becoming stronger and more in charge of their physical bodies we will explore advanced yoga poses including inversions, backbends and combining poses together in a faster paced sequence. Students will learn and practice meditation techniques that can be used during moments of high concentration in their lives - base/softball pitch/basketball free throw, dance performance or taking tests etc.. Students will leave class with a boost of self - esteem, connection with peers and all around fun experience.
