Cara

 Cara Mayrick, LCSW has been practicing psychotherapy for over 20 years. Her private practice is in Glen Cove, New York. She received her Masters in Social Work from Adelphi University in Long Island, New York. 

Through Catholic Charities, she was part of the disaster response team for 9/11. She received specialized training as a trauma worker, and is certified in Levels I and II in EMDR.

 As a former affiliate of Corporate Counseling Associates in New York, New York and National EAP in Ronkonkoma, New York, Cara presented work-life seminars for major corporations. Topics include: Stress Management, Maintaining Balance While Coping With Change In The Workplace.   Maintaining a Healthy Lifestyle, Coping With Difficult People, Balancing Work and Family, Enhancing Family Communications, Caring For The Caregiver.

     At Hunter College School of Social Work, Cara presented a workshop titled, Mindful    Living: Learning To Love Taking Care of The Self — Techniques to Nourish your Mind, Body and Spirit.
