Joanne Spadaro’s Handcrafted Masterpieces – Where Creativity, Passion, and Nature Unite.

Joanne Spadaro (Artstones By Joanne) artistic creations include: vibrant, hand-painted stones and bottles with Mandala style designs; unique, copper wire-wrapped gemstone jewelry; spectacular seashells sealed with resin; upcycled horseshoe wall hangings beautifully decorated with stones, beads, wire, and trinkets; and Witches Bells, intentionally adorned with ribbons, bells, keys, crystals, then cleansed with incense to hang on doors to protect the home and ward off negative energy.

It was grief and gardening that led Joanne to start painting stones.  What most see as nothing more than part of the landscape, Joanne saw as an outlet to mourn the loss of her mother, relieve stress, and to bring more beauty into the world.  She has always collected stones and seashells. Joanne’s pathway to painted stones, gemstone jewelry, decoupaged shells seemed natural to her.

Joanne learned how to wire-wrap jewelry by reading and watching hundreds of tutorials created by skilled wire-wrappers and now she teaches others.  She allows the size and shape of a stone determine how it should be wrapped with wire.  Joanne is inspired by colors (especially blue and green), patterns, designs, nature, and different artists.

Her works can be found at Dreams West in Sea Cliff, NY where she also displays a wonderful collection of hand-beaded and sequin-embroidered textiles by Haitian artists.
